Damage Rail Jam Series | GROM Division (12 and Under)

Description

This event is for GROM riders ages 12 and under.

The Damage Rail Jam Series comes to Giants Ridge for a rider focused day in the Placid Terrain Park, presented in partnership with Damage Boardshop. This free to enter rail jam is built around creativity, progression, and community, offering a welcoming environment for young skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.

The event features practice windows followed by jam sessions in the Placid Terrain Park and will be judged by a panel of judges. Winners are selected based on overall impression, including style, difficulty, creativity, and consistency.

7:30am to approximately 3:30pm

This is a standalone event. Registration is required and limited per class.

Registration Notes
Registration for all under 18 divisions closes at 8:30am so riders can attend the morning riders meeting at the top of Placid Terrain Park.

1st, 2nd, 3rd receive product giveaways from Damage Boardshop

How It Works:
● Registration is free but required
● Helmets are required and all riders must have a helmet to enter the Rail Jam area
● A valid Giants Ridge activity waiver is required
● Lift tickets are sold separately
● Riders must compete in their registered age group and discipline

Scoring: Highest total points win per class.
● 1st place vote: 3 points
● 2nd place vote: 2 points
● 3rd place vote: 1 point

Run of Show:

● 7:30am to 8:30am
○ Registration and bib pickup at the Giants Ridge Retail Shop in the main chalet
● 8:30am to 11:50am
○ Morning heats with practice windows followed by jam sessions
● 11:50am to 12:30pm
○ Break for course maintenance
● 12:30pm to 2:20pm
○ Afternoon heats with practice windows followed by jam sessions
● 3:00pm
○ Awards ceremony at the Main Chalet
