Damage Rail Jam Series | 18+

Description

This event is for riders ages 18 and older.

The Damage Rail Jam Series features an adult division rail jam in the Placid Terrain Park at Giants Ridge, presented in partnership with Damage Boardshop. This free to enter event is designed around creativity, progression, and community, offering a competitive yet welcoming jam format.

Riders will take laps through the Placid Terrain Park during scheduled practice windows and jam sessions and will be judged by a panel of judges. Winners are selected based on overall impression, including style, difficulty, creativity, and consistency.

Event Time:
7:30am to approximately 3:30pm

This is a standalone event. Registration is required and limited per class.

Registration Notes
Registration for the 18+ division closes at 11:30am. The 18+ riders meeting will take place at 12:00pm at the top of Placid Terrain Park.

Prizing Details:

Adult Division (18+)
1st Place: $1000
2nd Place: $500
3rd Place: $250

*Amounts above reflect cash prizing for each class (ski/snowboard)

How It Works:
● Registration is free but required
● Helmets are required and all riders must have a helmet to enter the Rail Jam area
● A valid Giants Ridge activity waiver is required
● Lift tickets are sold separately
● Riders must compete in their registered age group and discipline

Scoring: Highest total points win per class.
● 1st place vote: 3 points
● 2nd place vote: 2 points
● 3rd place vote: 1 point

Run of Show:

● 7:30am to 8:30am
○ Registration and bib pickup at the Giants Ridge Retail Shop in the main chalet
● 8:30am to 11:50am
○ Morning heats with practice windows followed by jam sessions
● 11:50am to 12:30pm
○ Break for course maintenance
● 12:30pm to 2:20pm
○ Afternoon heats with practice windows followed by jam sessions
● 3:00pm
○ Awards ceremony at the Main Chalet
